Are you feeling hopeless rather than hopeful in certain areas of your life? Do you need a vision for that which you can’t yet see? Do you need more joy and peace in the midst of your days?
You are not alone my friend. I can relate! There are things in my life that feel like a battle. Things I need help believing for.
Be encouraged! Our Lord is intimately aware of both our frame and our assignments. Therefore, He has graciously given us Holy Spirit as our Helper. Hallelujah! 🙂
And now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 nasb
Prayers inspired by Romans 15 & Ephesians 2
- Lord, would you fill us with all joy and peace in believing, so that we would ABOUND in HOPE by the POWER of the Holy Spirit inside of us.
- Lord, give us vision and hope for that which we don’t yet see. Forgetting what lies behind, help us to fix our eyes on You, so that we may walk in the good works you’ve prepared beforehand for each of us. May we be ever mindful of Holy Spirit who dwells within us. And may we overflow with joy and peace.
- Thank You, Jesus! For we are seated in You in the heavenly places. Help us to receive the boundless riches of Your grace in kindness towards us today.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Praying the Scriptures
Here are two scriptures for you to pray through and meditate on this week. Ask the Lord to help you fully understand what these scriptures mean for you, and allow them to help you cultivate a faith-filled and joyful life.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another. But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from God, to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13-16 NASB
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the boundless riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:4-9 NASB
It may be helpful to take one verse, write it down on a note card as an affirmation and prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord.
