Isn’t it beautiful that the Lord is a God of second, third and so on chances? He is long suffering, abounding in loving kindness. His mercies are new every morning. His loving kindness leads us to repentance. In Christ, we are new creations.
This is such good news for the newly born-again believer in Christ. But this is spectacular news for those in Christ who have made mistakes they are remorseful of. Perhaps even ashamed of. It could have been a harsh word spoken out of hurt, anger, or exhaustion. Or a sin that caused great harm to others and yourself. Take heart.
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Isaiah 53:3 NIV
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5 NIV
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin in our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2Cor5:21 NASB
He paid the price for your sins, death, so you wouldn’t have to.. if you have said yes to His gift of Salvation.
Why? Because of His great love for you.
After offering sincere repentance, and receiving His forgiveness, in God’s eyes you are clean. When God forgives sins, the guilt, shame, and stain of that sin are washed away forever.
He is for you, not against you.
This is a deep revelation but still simple: All who call upon the name of Jesus will be saved.
If you have called upon His name today, I pray you will be touched supernaturally by King Jesus, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, forgiven, restored, and overcome by His great love.
So that you can move forward with joy and gratitude towards God.
Behold, the old has passed away. He has made all things new.
